Welcome to A Writer’s Workshop!

– Oh…Hey! I was expecting someone less dirty…

“The Writer’s Block”

Let’s start with what I think of the famous “Writer’s block”. Personally, I think it is a work of fiction… you literally need a break. Inspire yourself by doing some amazing research, Reading. The magic could even happen while you are watching different movies of your interest. But remember it’s always good to take a break, once in a while. Create space for Inspiration, free write circled ideas and then get active. You could do so by working out, doing housework or even get out of your writing dungeon!

Climb back up, mate! Next, we will talk about what I find is the next important step. I will be up by the HUGE tree ready to tell you about how important it is to have a writing schedule.

“The Writer’s Clock”

A content creation schedule improves quality and consistency. This will be a short version of the writer’s clock. Let’s keep it fun and go into detailed works further in our journey. Here is a quick example of what the basic schedule is.

⦁ Researching, Pre-Writing, Drafting, Revising, Editing, Publishing.
⦁ Write, Correction, Reading, Meditate.
⦁ Studying, Writings projects, Social Media Check-up.

⦁ Nutrition, Rest, Workout, and Entertainment.

A Writer’s Workout?

Well, no dumb, dumb. I am simply saying you should balance things in order to a be healthy person!

  • You may stop with the pen pushups now it ain’t funny anymore

50 % brain and 50% body health is the key to a healthy writing journey and lifestyle.

Here is a suggested schedule feel free to complete it. I would be more than happy to read your essays!

Monday: Brainstorm a list of reasons why you shouldn’t do this homework. Choose an audience, select 2 points from your brainstorm and target my audience. Arrange the point into a specific order. Then think about how ironic it is that you are doing homework about why you shouldn’t be doing it.

Tuesday: Write 2 paragraphs.

Wednesday: Let my essay sit around for the day

Thursday: Reread your essay out loud and laugh at your mistakes. Then change what you want to make better.

Friday: Reread the essay from your printed sheet of paper. Not from your computer screen. Change anything you need to. Feel free to choose the format you like.

Saturday: Sit back and relax because you complete all your work. You are good to go!

Sunday: Hand in publishment to Please write Essay in the subject box.

The writing process

The writing process can be fun if it is well organized. Here is what I find a respectful writing process. To help you keep track of your process I suggest using the simple checklist method.

Step 1 Prewriting:

Step 2 Drafting:

Step 3 Editing:

Step 4 Proofreading:

Step 5 Publishing:

There are different ways to process it really depends on the writer I suggest everybody should try their own schedules to see what fits them best. Here are different examples.

If you aren’t familiar with the terms, do not worry I will be mentioning them later on.

1. Research – Set time limits

2. Plot

3. Blog

4. Write

5. Read and edit – Set time limits

6. Send to beta reader/editor

7. Edit – Set time limits

8. Format and publish

Hint – You should never write and edit at the same time

First blog post

My name is Philippe Chase. I am a father, a freelancer, a songwriter, a student and an unpublished author. I recently obtained an English college degree but my journey as a student isn’t over. I have dropped out of high school in the past but it is never too late to educate ourselves. I have appeared on a community television channel called TVCW, in a perseverance Event and on Radio-Canada. Hey look at me mom, I’m on the television! My little speech made a big difference, it helped to raise funds to keep our adult school going for future inscriptions and it motivated other drop-outs to make their move. I was rewarded for my courage with a student load. It was a great experience and also a great achievement.

However, I also want to make my own mark on the web by creating a community where people can share their creativity. I believe we can all learn a lot from each other and inspire ourselves. I am hand-building a site with WordPress. It is currently a portfolio, a blog, an experienced lab and an area to express my creativity on the web. I will be posting blogs and making updates on different projects. For example, my self-publishing journey, the content of my Science fiction series, illustrations, and other related content. I am also working on a Horror manuscript. I will talk individually about each project in my following blogs.

Here is a link to the website:

I always had a huge admiration for books. Writing has always been a passion but who knew that one day my desire would be to hold my own with my bare hands. This is my first experience with self-publishing and my 2 wonderful children are my biggest fans. I have no previous publications. I have been working on an incredible Science fiction series. You can follow the progress of my first novel’s development and share how I will convert my manuscripts into well a presented book series that I wish to share with the world! You can be a part of the experience by subscribing to my email list on the website, being a Beta-reader or simply become a reader and enjoy the adventure!

Furthermore, doing research and editing is an important part of the process and it’s also a great way to evolve has a writer. We get better every day, we can always find things to change and develop new ideas. I mostly find better ways to describe the world and its characters that I created. I am also translating the entire series in the French language.

I am hoping to expand my collaborations and author platform. I have contacted different cover designers but obtained no success of results. I haven’t given up the idea but designing my own cover is slowly becoming a new challenge for me.

My goals: Discover, Inspire, Entertain, have my very own charity and also make a complete documentary film on “Different People, Different Passion’s a project about Perseverance.

My interest and hobbies are writing, music, reading, boating, fishing, hiking, basketball, football, rollerblading, skating, snowboarding, helping others and spending quality family time.

My morals: Compassion and evidence.

Support my dream to reach others!

I believe dreams come true and effort is the key to reach our goals. The reason life is hard on us sometimes is to build our strength and help us appreciate its true treasures has we experience it at its fullest.
